Ingredients

Pasta and Seafood

  • 12 oz spaghetti or your favorite pasta
  • 1 lb mixed seafood (like shrimp, clams, and squid) Frozen seafood can be used, just thaw and drain properly.

Flavorings

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes More if you’re feeling bold!
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup white wine Use good quality wine.
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

Cooking the Pasta

  • In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook your spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, keeping an eye on it to prevent mushiness. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

Sauté the Ingredients

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle in your olive oil and sauté the minced garlic. Add the red pepper flakes and let it simmer for about 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.

Add Seafood and Wine

  • Toss in your mixed seafood and pour in the white wine. Stir to combine and let it cook until the seafood is opaque and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes.

Incorporate Tomatoes

  • Add the diced tomatoes and stir well. If you prefer a thinner sauce, pour in some of the reserved pasta water. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Combine Everything

  • Gently fold in your cooked spaghetti, ensuring it is well-coated with the seafood sauce to let the flavors intermingle.

Garnish and Serve

  • Once plated, sprinkle fresh parsley on top and serve. Enjoy your beautiful dish!

Notes

Feel free to add a splash of hot sauce or change up the seafood mix according to your preference. If your sauce looks a bit lumpy, embrace the texture for more flavor!
