Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  • Mix the peanut butter into the whipped cream until well combined, forming a creamy mixture.
  • In a large trifle dish or clear glass bowl, layer the ingredients starting with peanut butter cream, followed by bananas, then granola.
  • Repeat the layering until ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of peanut butter cream on top.
  • Garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
  • Refrigerate for about an hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Consider making this trifle a day in advance for improved flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container; granola may lose crunch over time.
